Project Send It’s first major fundraising event of 2021 will be a Climb-A-Thon! Yeah, just like the bike-a-thons you did as a kid, except we’ll be climbing. Wait a sec, you’re telling me you never did a bike-a-thon? Well, here’s how it works:
1 Register for the Event (and get your entire crew to register, it’s more fun with friends, and the first 100 people to register get a Chalk Sock from Metolius!)
$30 to participate + Übergrippen membership/punch pass/day pass
2 Reserve your climbing time slot (how many routes can you climb in 2 hours??)
3 Get your friends, family, coworkers, neighbors to sponsor you. The more you climb, the more money you raise for Project Send It! (Download the pledge sheet here)
4 Show up, climb like it’s your job, have a great time. You can climb with your friends and make new friends
5 Go back to your sponsors and collect the pledge dollars (we can help with that)
What are we raising money for?
Project Send It is coming out of our COVID hibernation, and it’s time to get kids climbing this summer. All the money raised during the climb-a-thon will be used to enable the Colfax Community Network kids to climb during their summer camp, to host an introduction event for kids in the Boulder Voices for Children CASA program, and to expand the program for more kids across the Denver Metro area.
What to expect on May 23rd
We’ll be at Übergrippen Indoor Climbing Crag from 9am until 6pm, you’ll need to make a reservation to guarantee your time slot, then climb as many routes as you can. During the day, we’ll have complimentary food and drinks available to all participants. At 6 pm we’ll recognize the climbers that climbed the most routes and raised the most money for Project Send It!
